Dairy is controversial in the health community. Studies show that dairy is not harder to digest than any other food. The only exception is if you’re intolerant to lactose. If you’re not lactose-intolerant, you can handle dairy. Some people that can’t handle milk can handle yogurt, the fermented dairy is easier on your stomach. Milk is high in calcium and Vitamin D, both essential. It also has healthy fats and protein. Some people claim that milk can cause acne, but the evidence is purely anecdotal. If you feel you might be sensitive to dairy, adjust your diet and see if it makes a difference. But if you can digest it, then it’s healthy.
