According to some researchers, Green Tea holds unique properties that make it one -if not the- healthiest drinks there is.

“It’s the healthiest thing I can think of to drink,” says Christopher Ochner, PhD. a research scientist in nutrition at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Of course with that in mind you also have to realize the fact that there is no one ‘miracle drink’ that will keep you healthy and in shape on its own. You still have to keep a good and healthy lifestyle, you know, take care of yourself in other ways, like exercising, not smoking or drinking too much and being overall active, as Green Tea won’t do that for you nor will it keep you healthy by itself, even if you drink it all day long.

Green tea has been shown to improve blood flow and lower cholesterol. A 2013 review of many studies found green tea helped prevent a range of heart-related issues, from high blood pressure to congestive heart failure. Green tea seems to also help keep blood sugar stable in people with diabetes. Because catechins lower cholesterol and blood pressure, they can help protect against the damage a high-fat diet can cause.

So remember to sip in some green tea every once in a while as its benefits are nothing to be laughed at.
