Detoxing and ridding your body of the toxins that it accumulates is a terrific way of cleansing your body and spirit. Just about everything that you consume goes through your liver, so that’s a great place to focus on.
Start your day off with warm water, a slice of lemon and a few drops of apple cider vinegar. The water and lemon not only stimulate your digestive system, but they also get your liver and gall bladder functioning at a higher level. A light breakfast of fiber rich food is going to keep your digestive system moving throughout the day. Continue drinking water all day while washing those toxins away.
Stay fiber rich at lunch, and include some protein for energy. If it’s a work day, try to take a 20 minute walk after eating. If it’s a weekend, a good half hour sweat is in order. Sweating is a great way of ridding your body of toxins. Maybe you’ll want to indulge in a sauna.
For dinner, go with lean protein like fish and some high vitamin and high fiber vegetables like fresh, crunchy green beans that aren’t overcooked. Try to start relaxing after dinner so you can get a great night’s sleep, and reduce your stress levels. A nice long bath or shower should do that trick.
